Our Verdict
The choice between Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb and Try with Mirra Before You Buy depends entirely on the specific needs of the Shopify merchant. If the goal is to optimize the existing checkout flow by simplifying payment and shipping options, and the merchant desires greater control over which payment gateways and shipping methods are displayed, Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb is the better choice. It's suitable for stores across various industries looking to fine-tune their checkout experience without coding. However, given its lower number of reviews, merchants may want to carefully consider the app's support and long-term viability.
On the other hand, Try with Mirra Before You Buy is ideal for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands looking to overcome customer hesitation related to fit and style. Its "try before you buy" model can significantly increase conversions and order sizes by removing the risk associated with online purchases in these categories. The 24/7 support and customer portal further enhance its value proposition for merchants willing to adopt a more unconventional approach to online sales. If increasing customer confidence and tackling fit/style concerns are primary objectives, Try with Mirra is the superior option.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Both apps claim ease of use. Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb states 'zero coding required', suggesting a user-friendly interface. Try with Mirra's 'hassle-free returns' and 'customer portal' also imply ease of use, especially for managing the try-before-you-buy process. The true ease of use likely depends on the merchant's technical skill and the complexity of their existing store setup.
Which app is better for increasing conversions?
Both aim to increase conversions, but through different mechanisms. Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb streamlines the checkout process, potentially reducing cart abandonment. Try with Mirra tackles customer hesitation about fit and style, potentially converting hesitant buyers into paying customers. The 'better' app depends on the primary reason for checkout abandonment or low conversion rates on the store.
Does Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb affect payment security?
Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb primarily focuses on *displaying* or hiding payment gateways, not on processing payments directly. Therefore, it should not directly affect payment security. Security remains the responsibility of the payment gateways themselves and Shopify's secure checkout process.
Can Try with Mirra be used for products other than fashion, beauty, and lifestyle?
While Try with Mirra is specifically marketed towards fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands, the underlying "try before you buy" concept could potentially be adapted for other product categories where customer hesitation due to uncertainty is a major factor. However, the app's specific features and marketing materials may not be fully optimized for those categories.
Which app offers better customer support?
Try with Mirra explicitly mentions '24/7 support,' providing a clear advantage in this area. Hide Payment & Shipping iWeb does not specify its support availability, making it difficult to compare. This is a significant factor for merchants who value responsive and readily available assistance.
