Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on acquiring new customers and driving sales through marketing campaigns (email, SMS, social media), Checkout Links by Edi&P offers a targeted solution for creating and optimizing shareable checkout links. Its features like A/B testing and reorder links cater specifically to external campaign performance and retention.
However, for businesses prioritizing on-site optimization and increasing AOV by encouraging customers to add more items to their cart, Essential Upsell & Cross Sell is the more suitable choice. The app's focus on frequently bought together recommendations, product bundles, and post-purchase upsells makes it ideal for maximizing the value of existing traffic. Despite its lower review count, Checkout Links could represent a newer, more specialized tool for link-based marketing, while Essential Upsell is a more established solution for on-site upsell strategies.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing customer retention?
Checkout Links is better for retention due to its reorder link feature, allowing customers to easily repurchase products.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the features, Checkout Links is likely simpler to set up due to its more focused functionality compared to the broader feature set of Essential Upsell & Cross Sell. However, without user experience data this is only speculation.
Can both apps be used simultaneously?
Yes, it's possible. Checkout Links can be used to bring customers to the checkout page, and Essential Upsell & Cross Sell can then be used to increase their order value before they complete the purchase. However, careful planning is needed to avoid a confusing customer experience.
Does Essential Upsell & Cross Sell support external marketing campaigns?
Not directly. It primarily focuses on on-site product recommendations and upsells.
Is Checkout Links suitable for large-scale enterprises?
Potentially, if the enterprise relies heavily on link-based marketing. However, the relatively low review count (23) suggests it might be more suitable for smaller to medium-sized businesses, or that the user base is highly targeted. A larger user base and more mature app are usually desired by larger entities.
