CCL Hide Payment Methods vs COD PRO ‑ OTPs & AI Marketingfor Shopify (2026)
CCL Hide Payment Methods and COD PRO ‑ OTPs & AI Marketing address distinctly different needs within a Shopify store. CCL Hide Payment Methods focuses on payment gateway customization, enabling merchants to control how payment options are presented to customers at checkout. This includes hiding specific payment methods based on various conditions like cart total, shipping method, or customer location, as well as reordering and renaming them. Its target audience is merchants looking to optimize their checkout experience, reduce payment processing fees, or cater to specific customer segments with tailored payment options. Conversely, COD PRO ‑ OTPs & AI Marketing zeroes in on streamlining and securing Cash On Delivery (COD) orders. It aims to reduce fraudulent COD orders and improve delivery rates through automated OTP verification via WhatsApp, SMS, IVR, and email. It also includes features for address validation and, according to its description, some AI-powered marketing tools. Its target audience is merchants who heavily rely on COD and want to mitigate the risks associated with it, such as failed deliveries and invalid orders, while also potentially leveraging AI for marketing. The key divergence lies in their functional scope: CCL concentrates on payment presentation, while COD PRO centers on COD order verification and adds some new AI marketing tools.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with optimizing the payment options available to customers during checkout, CCL Hide Payment Methods is the more suitable choice. Its ability to conditionally hide, sort, and rename payment methods provides fine-grained control over the customer's payment experience. The high rating and existing reviews, albeit a small sample size, also offer some level of confidence in its functionality and user experience.
If, however, a merchant's primary challenge revolves around managing Cash On Delivery orders – specifically reducing fraud and improving delivery rates – then COD PRO ‑ OTPs & AI Marketing is the more relevant solution. While the lack of reviews presents a risk, the OTP verification features directly address the pain points associated with COD orders. The addition of AI marketing tools is a potentially valuable bonus, but the core value lies in its COD verification capabilities. Merchants evaluating COD PRO need to thoroughly assess its functionality and support given the absence of user reviews.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Without user reviews for COD PRO, it's difficult to say definitively. CCL's conditional logic might require more initial setup, but COD PRO's marketing components could have a learning curve as well.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Yes, these apps address different aspects of the e-commerce process. CCL manages payment presentation, while COD PRO manages COD verification and marketing. There is no inherent conflict between the two.
Which app will increase my sales more?
CCL could potentially increase sales by optimizing the checkout experience. COD PRO could increase revenue by reducing lost revenue from fraudulent COD orders. Hard to say which would have a bigger impact without knowing the business.
Does either app offer a free trial?
This information is not provided in the app data.
Which app is more suitable for a small store?
The suitability depends on the store's needs. If COD isn't a major part of the business, CCL may be more broadly useful for improving overall checkout. If COD orders create significant operational problems then COD PRO could be more appropriate.
