Ting ‑ Slack Notifications vs WebPlanex: GST Invoice Indiafor Shopify (2026)
Ting ‑ Slack Notifications and WebPlanex: GST Invoice India are both 5-star rated Shopify apps in the 'Orders' category, but they address entirely different merchant needs. Ting focuses on real-time operational awareness, providing instant order notifications and reports directly within Slack. This allows teams to stay informed about store activity without leaving their communication hub. In contrast, WebPlanex is designed for regulatory compliance and financial reporting, specifically catering to Indian merchants who require GST-ready invoices and sales reports for GSTR-3B and GSTR-1 returns. The primary distinction lies in their value proposition: Ting enhances team collaboration and responsiveness to orders, while WebPlanex automates GST invoice generation and reporting, streamlining accounting processes. Ting caters to merchants who prioritize immediate access to order information and team communication, whereas WebPlanex is tailored for Indian merchants burdened by GST compliance requirements and seeking to simplify their tax reporting. The difference in review count also suggests that WebPlanex caters to a broader, perhaps more established, market segment needing specialized tax compliance tools.

Our Verdict
The choice between Ting ‑ Slack Notifications and WebPlanex: GST Invoice India hinges entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If the merchant is based in India and requires GST-compliant invoices and reporting, WebPlanex is the clear choice. Its focus on GST regulations and automated invoice generation directly addresses this need. However, if the merchant's priority is to improve team communication and stay instantly informed about store orders, Ting is the better option. It provides real-time notifications and reports directly within Slack, fostering a more collaborative and responsive environment.
Given the significantly higher number of reviews for WebPlanex, it suggests that GST compliance is a more widespread pain point, particularly in India. Ting, while highly rated, appears to cater to a niche audience prioritizing real-time operational awareness within their Slack environment. For most Shopify store owners outside India, Ting is useful. Within India, it's GST needs first and foremost.
