Stockist Store Locator vs WP Maps ‑ Store Locator Appfor Shopify (2026)
Stockist Store Locator and WP Maps - Store Locator App both aim to enhance the in-store shopping experience by providing searchable maps. However, they differ significantly in their maturity and feature emphasis. Stockist boasts a significantly higher rating (5/5) based on a substantial number of reviews (273), suggesting a well-established and generally positive user experience. Its focus is on creating a powerful and customizable store locator with insightful analytics and geolocation capabilities, positioning itself as a trusted solution for highlighting stores and retailers. WP Maps, on the other hand, has a lower rating (4/5) with only one review and focuses on a broader range of locator widgets, including product and pickup point locators, alongside lead capture and automation features. This indicates a more versatile but potentially less refined experience compared to Stockist. Stockist seems to prioritize a clean, focused, and established solution for store locators, while WP Maps aims to offer a more comprehensive suite of location-based tools, potentially at the cost of depth in store-specific locator features.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with a well-established and highly-rated store locator solution with strong analytics and customization options, Stockist Store Locator appears to be the superior choice. The high number of positive reviews and its specific focus on store locators suggest a refined and reliable experience. However, for merchants needing a more versatile solution that incorporates product and pickup point locators, along with lead capture and integration with Google Business Profile, WP Maps ‑ Store Locator App might be a better fit, despite its limited number of reviews. The choice depends on the specific needs of the merchant: specialization and proven quality versus broader functionality and potential integration benefits.
