Shopify Bundles vs Shopify Formsfor Shopify (2026)
Shopify Bundles and Shopify Forms, while both falling under the 'Marketing and conversion' category on Shopify, serve distinctly different purposes and target different growth areas for merchants. Shopify Bundles focuses on increasing Average Order Value (AOV) by facilitating the creation of product bundles and multipacks directly within the Shopify admin. It caters to merchants looking to sell more items per transaction and manage inventory effectively, especially those with products offering variations like size and color. The strength of Shopify Bundles lies in its real-time inventory updates and ease of bundle creation, eliminating the need for custom coding. However, its lower rating of 3.1/5 suggests potential areas for improvement. Shopify Forms, on the other hand, centers on lead generation and customer acquisition. Its aim is to grow a merchant's contact list and convert website visitors into paying customers through customizable forms. The strength of Shopify Forms lies in its flexibility to create both pop-up and inline forms, its customization options with images, metafields, and discounts, and its ability to translate forms for localized content. The higher rating of 4.2/5 indicates generally positive user feedback. Unlike Shopify Bundles, Forms is focused on building customer relationships and gathering valuable data for personalized marketing efforts. Thus, a key distinction lies in Bundles optimizing for AOV with existing traffic, while Forms concentrates on expanding the customer base.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing increasing their average order value and efficiently managing inventory for bundled products, Shopify Bundles is the appropriate choice, provided they are comfortable with its slightly lower rating and potential areas for improvement indicated by customer reviews. However, for merchants whose primary focus is growing their email list, capturing leads, and building a stronger customer relationship through data-driven insights, Shopify Forms presents a more compelling solution. Shopify Forms' higher rating and focus on customer acquisition makes it a better option for stores in their early stages, or those seeking to amplify their marketing efforts through personalized outreach.
Given the difference in ratings and the strategic focus on either AOV optimization (Bundles) or customer acquisition (Forms), Shopify Forms appears to be the stronger app overall. The higher rating reflects greater user satisfaction, and building a strong customer base is often a prerequisite to optimizing AOV effectively.
