Shipway Order Tracking vs Synctrack PayPal Tracking Syncfor Shopify (2026)
Shipway Order Tracking and Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync, while both operating within the 'Orders' and 'Order Tracking' categories on Shopify, address fundamentally different needs for merchants. Shipway focuses on enhancing the *customer* experience post-purchase by offering branded tracking pages, proactive notifications (SMS, Email, WhatsApp), and tools for collecting reviews and feedback to drive repeat purchases and loyalty. It aims to build a seamless post-purchase journey. Synctrack, on the other hand, is designed to improve the *merchant's* financial efficiency and operational simplicity. Synctrack's core function is automatically syncing tracking information to PayPal and Stripe to expedite fund disbursement, reduce disputes, and minimize account limitations. While it improves customer trust by facilitating faster fund access, the *primary* beneficiary is the merchant through faster payment processing and reduced administrative overhead. The app also supports syncing tracking data from various sales channels, including Facebook and Instagram, directly to PayPal, making it a more comprehensive solution for multi-channel sellers concerned with PayPal compliance and efficiency.

Our Verdict
For D2C brands primarily concerned with cultivating customer loyalty and maximizing repeat purchases through a personalized post-purchase experience, Shipway Order Tracking is the more suitable choice. Its features are geared towards enhancing the customer journey and gathering valuable feedback.
However, for businesses that rely heavily on PayPal and Stripe, especially those selling across multiple channels like Facebook and Instagram, Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync is the clear winner. The app directly addresses the common pain points of delayed payments and disputes associated with these payment platforms. Choosing Synctrack prioritizes financial efficiency and operational streamlining, which is particularly crucial for scaling businesses.
Common Questions
Which app is better for improving customer retention?
Shipway Order Tracking is specifically designed to improve customer retention through personalized post-purchase experiences and feedback mechanisms.
Which app helps reduce PayPal disputes and chargebacks?
Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync directly addresses PayPal disputes and chargebacks by automatically syncing tracking information and aligning with PayPal's requirements.
Can Shipway help me get paid faster by PayPal?
No, Shipway focuses on customer experience and does not directly influence PayPal payment processing speed. Synctrack is designed for that purpose.
Does Synctrack offer features for collecting customer reviews?
While Synctrack mentions 'Free store reviews with PayPal standards', this appears to be a byproduct of aligning with PayPal requirements rather than a dedicated review collection tool like Shipway's Feedback & review widget. Synctrack's focus is on compliance, not active review generation.
If I sell on Facebook and Instagram, which app is more beneficial?
Synctrack is more beneficial if you sell on Facebook and Instagram because it can automatically sync order tracking from those channels to PayPal, helping you get paid faster and reduce disputes.
