Our Verdict
If you are a Shopify merchant looking for advanced control over your shipping rates, wanting to tailor delivery options based on product, location, or time, and require features like local delivery scheduling, then Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip is the clear choice. Its high rating and substantial review count suggest strong user satisfaction. However, if your business relies heavily on Amazon's FBA or MCF for order fulfillment, Shipr for Amazon FBA / MCF is the more suitable option. While it has fewer reviews, its focus on automating the fulfillment process and synchronizing inventory with Amazon makes it invaluable for merchants using those services.
Common Questions
Can Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip handle international FBA orders?
No, Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip focuses on custom shipping rules, not direct integration with FBA. Shipr is better suited for FBA fulfillment needs.
Does Shipr offer custom shipping rate calculations based on product attributes?
No, Shipr automates fulfillment through Amazon FBA/MCF. Shipping rate calculations are handled by Amazon, not within Shipr itself.
What are the main differences in setup between the two apps?
Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZip requires configuration of numerous rules and settings related to product attributes and location. Shipr needs connection to your Amazon FBA/MCF account and SKU mapping.
Which app is easier to use for a beginner?
Shipr is likely easier to set up initially if you are already using Amazon FBA, as it focuses on automating the fulfillment process. Shipping & Delivery - ShipZip, with its complex rule system, may take more time to learn.
Can I use both apps together?
Yes, theoretically. You *could* use ShipZip to adjust shipping *rates* displayed to the customer. However you would then use Shipr to actually *fulfill* the order through Amazon. This would be complex, and likely not necessary for most users.
