Sherpas: Smart SEO vs Shop Sheriff AMP Pagesfor Shopify (2026)
Sherpas: Smart SEO and Shop Sheriff AMP Pages are both SEO apps for Shopify, but they address different aspects of search engine optimization. Sherpas: Smart SEO aims to be a comprehensive SEO solution, covering meta tags, image optimization, page speed, structured data, broken link management, and backlink reporting. It leverages AI (ChatGPT-4 Turbo) for content generation, targeting merchants who want a broad, automated approach to SEO. Shop Sheriff AMP Pages, on the other hand, focuses exclusively on creating Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) to improve mobile page speed and Core Web Vitals, targeting merchants specifically concerned with mobile performance and its impact on SEO. Shop Sheriff AMP Pages offers a more specialized solution by concentrating on mobile page speed and user experience, directly addressing Google's Core Web Vitals. This makes it a great app to improve mobile SEO. Sherpas: Smart SEO offers broader SEO assistance by automating and simplifying many areas of SEO, appealing to merchants who need help with the basics and are not necessarily focused primarily on mobile. The ideal use case for Shop Sheriff AMP Pages is a store that already has most of its SEO in order and needs a way to significantly boost mobile speed and pass mobile Core Web Vitals. Sherpas: Smart SEO is better for stores with less advanced SEO that want all of the basics taken care of in one app.
