Searchspring vs Year Make Model ‑ EasySearchfor Shopify (2026)
Searchspring and Year Make Model ‑ EasySearch both aim to improve search and navigation on Shopify stores, but they cater to drastically different niches. Searchspring, with a rating of 4.5/5 based on 21 reviews, likely offers a more general search enhancement solution, though specific features aren't detailed. Year Make Model ‑ EasySearch, on the other hand, is laser-focused on automotive and other product fitment searches, boasting a 4.7/5 rating from a substantial 112 reviews. This suggests a high degree of satisfaction within its target market. The 'My Garage' feature is a particularly strong selling point for repeat customers in that niche. EasySearch's preloaded Year Make Model database further differentiates it. The core difference lies in their specialization. Searchspring appears to be a broader search and filter application, while Year Make Model ‑ EasySearch excels at solving the specific problem of product fitment, offering features like a fitment widget, fitment table, and 'My Garage' functionality. EasySearch allows linking a single product to several YMM combinations, offering flexibility for stores with diverse product fitment options. Our Verdict
Year Make Model ‑ EasySearch is the clear choice for merchants selling automotive parts, bike parts, or any product where fitment is critical. Its specialized features like the fitment widget and 'My Garage' address a specific pain point in this vertical, potentially leading to higher conversion rates and customer satisfaction. The higher number of reviews and slightly better rating further support its effectiveness within its niche.
Searchspring might be suitable for merchants who need a more general search enhancement solution and don't require product fitment functionality. Without further details on Searchspring's features, it's difficult to provide a definitive recommendation. However, if fitment is a key concern, Year Make Model ‑ EasySearch is the superior option.
