Our Verdict
For merchants in the cosmetics, healthcare, food supplements, pet products, or FMCG sectors looking for a straightforward way to boost AOV by offering free samples based on cart value, Sample Products ‑‑ Try N Buy is the more appropriate choice. It provides a direct incentive for customers to increase their spending. However, the low number of reviews should be a point to consider.
For merchants seeking a more engaging and data-driven approach to product discovery and personalization, especially those wanting to collect zero-party data and integrate with marketing automation platforms, VQB: AI Product Quiz Builder is the stronger option. Its AI-powered quiz generation and extensive integration capabilities offer a more sophisticated approach to driving sales and improving customer engagement. The significantly higher review count provides more confidence in its reliability and effectiveness, making it generally a better choice for most merchants.

Which app is better for collecting customer data?
VQB: AI Product Quiz Builder is significantly better for collecting customer data. It actively gathers zero-party data through quiz responses, while Sample Products primarily relies on purchase data.
Which app is more suitable for a store with a limited product catalog?
Sample Products ‑‑ Try N Buy could be more suitable for a store with a limited catalog as it can incentivize purchases regardless of the product range. VQB's effectiveness is closely tied to its ability to recommend products, which may be limited with a smaller catalog.
