Salesfire: CRO Tools vs WAX: marketing on WhatsAppfor Shopify (2026)
Salesfire: CRO Tools and WAX: marketing on WhatsApp, while both categorized under 'Marketing - Other' in the Shopify app store, address fundamentally different aspects of e-commerce growth. Salesfire focuses on optimizing the on-site customer journey, aiming to increase conversion rates through features like AI-powered search, personalized recommendations, and targeted overlays. It caters to merchants looking to improve the shopping experience directly on their website, making it more intuitive and engaging. WAX, on the other hand, leverages WhatsApp as a marketing channel to drive sales and customer retention. It emphasizes conversational marketing, allowing merchants to engage with customers through automated flows, abandoned cart recovery, and back-in-stock alerts. WAX positions itself as a tool for businesses seeking to tap into the high open and response rates of WhatsApp to build stronger customer relationships and drive incremental revenue. Its GDPR-compliance adds a layer of trust for European merchants. The key difference lies in their approach: Salesfire optimizes the on-site experience, while WAX leverages off-site communication.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with improving the on-site shopping experience and leveraging AI to enhance product discovery and personalization, Salesfire: CRO Tools is the more suitable option. Its suite of features directly addresses conversion rate optimization within the website itself. However, due to the low number of reviews, merchants may need to carefully evaluate its performance on their specific platform.
WAX: marketing on WhatsApp is better suited for merchants looking to engage customers directly through WhatsApp, building relationships and driving sales through personalized messaging and automated flows. The higher number of reviews suggests a more established user base and potentially greater reliability. Businesses already leveraging WhatsApp as a communication channel or aiming to tap into its high engagement rates would find WAX to be a valuable tool. It's particularly relevant for merchants operating in regions where WhatsApp is a dominant form of communication.
