Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with presenting complex product variations effectively, and who require improved listing structures for variants, SA Variants would likely be the more beneficial choice. The high number of reviews suggests that many Shopify merchants have found value in this app. However, without more information on its feature set, this is speculative. For merchants with visually appealing, high-resolution product images who want to enhance product discovery through immersive visual experiences, Zoomy Collections is the clear choice. Its click-and-tick interface makes it accessible to merchants without coding knowledge, offering a relatively easy way to improve product presentation.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Zoomy Collections explicitly states it has a click-and-tick interface and requires no coding, suggesting a simpler setup than SA Variants, for which there is no setup information available.
Which app is better for stores with simple product offerings?
Zoomy Collections is likely better for stores with simple product offerings but high-quality imagery, as it focuses on enhancing the visual presentation of products. If the store has limited variants, SA Variants is unlikely to provide significant value.
What is the biggest risk in choosing either app?
The biggest risk in choosing SA Variants is the lack of information on what it actually does. Without a description or further details, merchants are taking a chance based on the app name alone. The risk with Zoomy Collections is that it requires high-quality images to be effective. Using low-resolution or poorly lit images would negate its benefits.
Are the apps compatible with each other?
Potentially, yes. It's conceivable that a merchant could use SA Variants to streamline product variant selection and then use Zoomy Collections to showcase high-quality images of those variants within a Collection. However, compatibility would depend on how both apps are coded and how they interact with the Shopify theme.
Which app has been tried and tested by more merchants?
SA Variants has significantly more reviews (136) than Zoomy Collections (4). This suggests that a larger number of merchants have tested and used SA Variants, providing a higher degree of social proof.
