RT: Smooth Scroll To Top vs RVS Animation Profor Shopify (2026)
RT: Smooth Scroll To Top and RVS Animation Pro both aim to enhance the user experience on Shopify stores within the 'Design elements - Other' category, but they approach it in very different ways. Smooth Scroll To Top focuses on improving navigation, particularly on long pages, by adding a scroll-to-top button and progress bar. It directly addresses a usability concern: making it easy for customers to return to the top of a page. RVS Animation Pro, on the other hand, centers on visual appeal by enabling merchants to add animations and effects to their storefront without coding. It's about making the store more engaging and visually dynamic. The most significant difference lies in their purpose: one optimizes for usability, the other for visual engagement. The apps also differ substantially in terms of user feedback. RT: Smooth Scroll To Top has a perfect 5/5 rating based on 30 reviews, suggesting positive user experiences and satisfaction. In contrast, RVS Animation Pro has no reviews at all, indicating it's either brand new or lacks users willing to provide feedback. This lack of social proof makes it challenging to gauge the reliability and effectiveness of RVS Animation Pro. Furthermore, while both apps claim ease of use, the presence of an explicit support statement in RVS Animation Pro ("IF THE APP ISN’T WORKING ON YOUR STORE, CONTACT US — WE’LL FIX IT IN MINUTES.") hints at potential setup or compatibility issues not present or at least not highlighted in Smooth Scroll To Top’s description.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing enhanced usability and straightforward navigation on stores with lengthy content, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is the clear winner. Its perfect rating and positive reviews provide confidence in its functionality and ease of use. It is a focused solution to a specific problem.
In contrast, RVS Animation Pro is suited for merchants aiming to significantly enhance the visual appeal of their store through dynamic animations. However, the lack of reviews presents a considerable risk. Merchants should only consider RVS Animation Pro if they are willing to experiment with a relatively unproven app and are prepared to contact support for potential troubleshooting. Due to the lack of reviews and potentially larger learning curve, it is difficult to recommend RVS Animation Pro without more evidence of its performance and reliability.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Based on the descriptions, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top likely offers a simpler setup with its 'one-click' feature. RVS Animation Pro, while claiming no coding is needed, involves customization of animations, styles, and layouts, potentially requiring more time investment and familiarity with design principles.
Which app is more likely to increase sales?
RT: Smooth Scroll To Top argues increased sales through improved customer browsing of long pages, leading to higher conversion rates. RVS Animation Pro hopes to attract customers through eye-catching visuals. The actual impact depends on the specific store and target audience. Clear navigation is often key, suggesting RT may have a more direct and measurable impact.
What if my theme already has a scroll-to-top button?
If your theme includes a functional scroll-to-top button, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top would be redundant. However, the app offers a scroll progress bar, providing additional navigation assistance. Consider if that feature adds sufficient value.
Is RVS Animation Pro likely to slow down my site?
Animations can negatively impact page load speed if not implemented efficiently. Since RVS Animation Pro lacks reviews, it's difficult to assess its impact on performance. Test thoroughly after installing to ensure it doesn't compromise site speed. Consider using an app specifically for optimization to mitigate performance impacts.
Which app is best for a minimal, clean design aesthetic?
RT: Smooth Scroll To Top fits a minimalist approach better, as it provides a functional improvement without drastically altering the visual design. RVS Animation Pro, by its very nature, introduces animations and effects, which might clash with a strictly minimalist design. Consider if animations align with your brand's aesthetic.
