Ricemill | Fulfilment and Zipcode Checker - Zippy are both 5-star rated Shopify apps in the 'Shipping solutions - Other' category, but they address completely different needs. Ricemill | Fulfilment focuses on streamlining the shipping process for Australian merchants. It provides features for comparing shipping rates, printing labels (especially for Australia Post MyPost), and automatically fulfilling orders with tracking. Our Verdict
For Australian Shopify merchants primarily concerned with efficient shipping label printing, rate comparison, and automated fulfillment using Australia Post and other supported carriers, Ricemill | Fulfilment is the clear choice. Its focus on the Australian market and specific carrier integrations makes it a powerful tool for streamlining logistics.
If, however, a merchant's priority is to control order acceptance based on zip code serviceability, preventing orders from locations where delivery is not possible or where certain products are unavailable, then Zipcode Checker - Zippy is the superior option. Its advanced zipcode logic and personalized messaging features address a different, but equally important, challenge in e-commerce.
