Our Verdict
Choosing between Retail Cloud Connect and RT: Smooth Scroll To Top depends entirely on a merchant's specific needs. If a merchant requires integration with retail cloud services, Retail Cloud Connect is the only option of these two. However, given the limited information, researching alternatives is advisable. If a merchant primarily wants to enhance the user experience of their online store, specifically by providing an easy way to navigate long pages, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is a suitable choice, particularly for themes lacking this built-in functionality. The larger number of reviews for RT: Smooth Scroll To Top suggests it addresses a more common need.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to install and set up?
RT: Smooth Scroll To Top is likely easier to install, boasting a 'one-click' setup, while Retail Cloud Connect likely involves more complex integration processes, assuming it connects to external services.
Which app is more likely to require technical expertise?
Retail Cloud Connect, if it integrates with retail cloud services, is likely to require more technical expertise for setup and configuration compared to RT: Smooth Scroll To Top.
What if my Shopify theme already has a 'scroll to top' button?
If your Shopify theme already has a functional 'scroll to top' button, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top would be redundant. It's designed for themes lacking this feature.
Is Retail Cloud Connect worth the risk given the low number of reviews?
With only 6 reviews, more thorough research is needed. Consider looking at user reviews outside of Shopify. Also, check the developer's reputation and compare its offered features against other retail integration apps, if that is the merchant's desired function.
Can RT: Smooth Scroll To Top negatively affect my website's performance?
A well-coded scroll-to-top button generally has a minimal impact on website performance. However, it's always a good practice to test your website speed after installing any new app.
