Releasit Cash on Delivery COD vs Theme Accessfor Shopify (2026)
Releasit Cash on Delivery (COD) and Theme Access are Shopify apps serving vastly different purposes, both categorized under Operations on the Shopify App Store. Releasit COD is designed for merchants wanting to optimize their Cash on Delivery payment options by offering COD fees and discounts, enabling partial payments, verifying orders via WhatsApp OTP, and setting conditional rules based on various criteria. This app targets merchants aiming to reduce RTO (Return to Origin) rates, combat fake orders, and improve COD payment management. Theme Access, on the other hand, caters to merchants who frequently collaborate with theme developers or agencies. Our Verdict
Releasit COD is the clear choice for merchants struggling with COD order management issues, such as high RTO rates and fake orders. Its robust feature set, including WhatsApp OTP verification and partial payment collection, makes it a valuable tool for businesses heavily reliant on COD. The large number of reviews and high rating suggest it's a well-received and effective solution.
Theme Access is specifically designed for merchants working with external theme developers or agencies. While the 5/5 rating is promising, the single review means it's hard to gauge its broader performance. If a merchant frequently requires theme customizations or updates and wants a secure way to grant access, Theme Access provides a streamlined solution compared to creating full staff accounts for developers. However, the small number of reviews calls for more caution. Merchants should also ensure the app’s feature set aligns with their developer collaboration workflows.
