Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing building a recurring revenue model through subscriptions with robust support and customization options, Recurpay: Subscriptions app is the clear choice. The emphasis on automation, customer self-service, and developer access makes it ideal for businesses with subscription-based products or services. However, if the primary goal is to improve customer engagement, reduce cart abandonment, and boost sales through personalized shopping experiences, Swym Wishlist Plus is the more suitable option. Its focus on wishlists, alerts, and customer account tracking provides valuable tools for enhancing the overall shopping journey.
While Recurpay boasts a perfect 5/5 rating, Swym Wishlist Plus has significantly more reviews (1400 vs 400), suggesting a larger user base and broader adoption. Both apps claim easy setup, but Recurpay's 24/7 live support provides an extra layer of assistance for merchants who may need help. Ultimately, the best app depends on the merchant's specific business needs and priorities.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to integrate with an existing Shopify store?
Both apps claim to offer easy and quick integration. Recurpay mentions a setup within minutes, while Swym Wishlist Plus claims seamless integration in less than 5 minutes. Without further data, it's impossible to definitively say which is easier, but both emphasize ease of use.
Which app is better for a small business owner with limited technical skills?
Recurpay's 24/7 live human support might be more beneficial for a small business owner with limited technical skills, as it provides direct assistance with any setup or configuration issues. While Swym Wishlist Plus claims easy setup, it doesn't explicitly mention dedicated support.
Which app is more focused on increasing customer lifetime value?
Both apps can contribute to increased customer lifetime value, but in different ways. Recurpay directly aims to increase CLTV by establishing recurring revenue streams through subscriptions. Swym Wishlist Plus indirectly contributes by improving customer engagement and satisfaction, leading to increased loyalty and repeat purchases.
Do either of these apps offer A/B testing capabilities?
Neither app description explicitly mentions A/B testing capabilities. Additional research would be needed to confirm if either app offers this feature in 2026, or if there are integrations with other A/B testing apps.
Does Swym Wishlist Plus support subscription products?
While Swym Wishlist Plus supports saving products to a wishlist, its primary focus is not subscription management. It's unlikely to offer specific features tailored for subscription products beyond simply allowing customers to wishlist them. Recurpay is more purpose-built for products offered on a subscription basis.
