Re:amaze AI Helpdesk & Chat and Richpanel: AI Customer Support are both AI-powered solutions aimed at streamlining customer service for Shopify merchants in 2026. Re:amaze positions itself as a comprehensive, multichannel helpdesk with strong AI capabilities for agent assistance and customer engagement features, while Richpanel emphasizes self-service and AI-driven automation to reduce support costs and improve efficiency. Re:amaze focuses on unifying conversations and providing AI-driven agent assistance, offering features such as order management directly within the support interface and proactive customer engagement tools. Richpanel, conversely, highlights its self-service portal and AI 'employees' that can handle a larger volume of customer interactions, along with integrations with popular Shopify apps and the promise of a quick migration. They both handle common support channels like email, chat, and social media, but Richpanel calls out phone channel support more explicitly. Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking a well-rounded helpdesk solution that empowers their agents with AI assistance and provides proactive customer engagement tools, Re:amaze AI Helpdesk & Chat is a strong contender. Its ability to manage Shopify orders directly from the support interface can be a significant advantage. However, if a merchant's primary focus is on automating customer service, reducing support costs, and providing 24/7 self-service options, Richpanel: AI Customer Support is the better choice. Its emphasis on AI-driven automation and a seamless migration from other platforms makes it ideal for businesses looking to drastically improve efficiency through self-service.
Ultimately, Richpanel likely suits larger businesses with high volumes of routine inquiries where self-service can offload significant workload from agents. Re:amaze is probably a better fit for businesses who are looking to enhance their agent's effectiveness, and retain more human touch. However, the higher rating for Richpanel indicates overall stronger satisfaction, but the higher volume of reviews for Re:amaze means it's more broadly tested.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a smaller Shopify store?
Both could be suitable, but Re:amaze might be a better starting point due to its broader set of features even without extensive AI automation. Smaller stores might benefit more from its integrated order management and customer engagement tools. Richpanel's focus on self-service may be less critical for stores with fewer support requests.
Does Re:amaze AI Helpdesk & Chat or Richpanel: AI Customer Support offer better support for phone support?
Richpanel explicitly mentions support for the phone channel, whereas Re:amaze includes 'Voice conversations', which may include phone support or VOIP integration. Further investigation of Re:amaze’s voice capabilities is recommended if phone support is critical.
Which app is easier to migrate to from another helpdesk platform?
Richpanel clearly states that they provide free white glove migration and explicitly list several supported platforms, suggesting a smoother transition compared to Re:amaze, which does not mention migration support.
Which app is better for stores that want to automate most of their customer support?
Richpanel's emphasis on the Self-Service portal and AI 'employees' positions it as the stronger choice for stores prioritizing automation. Its focus on reducing tickets and automating repetitive queries makes it more suitable for businesses looking to minimize human agent involvement.
How do Re:amaze AI Helpdesk & Chat and Richpanel: AI Customer Support handle social media support?
Both mention social media support. Re:amaze offers unified management of social conversations in a single inbox, while Richpanel supports Facebook DM and Instagram within its unified inbox. The specific capabilities for each platform may differ, so merchants should investigate the level of integration offered for their preferred social media channels.
