Quick Quote vs Scout:Let Customer Make Offersfor Shopify (2026)
Quick Quote and Scout:Let Customer Make Offers are both Shopify apps in the "Pricing quotes" category, but they cater to vastly different needs and business models. Quick Quote focuses on enabling customers to request customized quotes through the standard Shopify cart, facilitating personalized pricing negotiations with individual customers. It streamlines the quote generation process, offering email notifications, quote status tracking, and integration with the existing Shopify cart. In contrast, Scout:Let Customer Make Offers introduces a gamified reverse auction system where customers bid on products, and the app automatically allocates inventory to the highest bidders based on pre-set rules and discount limits. It aims to optimize pricing, reduce reliance on flat discounts, and manage customer communications automatically. The primary difference lies in their approach to pricing. Quick Quote is ideal for businesses selling products or services requiring custom pricing (e.g., custom manufacturing, large volume orders), enabling direct communication and negotiation. Scout, however, targets merchants seeking to maximize profits through dynamic pricing driven by customer demand, automatically allocating product to the highest bidder. Scout offers more of a hands off automated process after setup. Both apps aim to enhance pricing strategies, but one provides direct quote personalization (Quick Quote) while the other facilitates automated bidding (Scout).

Our Verdict
Quick Quote is better suited for merchants who sell products or services where custom pricing is common and personalized interaction is crucial. It's ideal for B2B businesses or those offering bespoke products where negotiation is expected. The existing positive ratings suggest it provides value for these businesses.
Scout, on the other hand, is a potentially interesting app for merchants looking to optimize pricing based on demand and reduce reliance on standard discounts. The lack of reviews makes it riskier but it offers 1000 free auctions. If you need a quote-based solution and want manual control, Quick Quote is the better choice. If you are willing to test out an app and want to leverage reverse auctions with automated workflows, Scout is potentially worth exploring despite its lack of user feedback.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim easy installation without coding. However, Quick Quote's simpler feature set suggests a potentially easier initial setup. Scout requires you to configure auction rules, discount limits, and timelines, which might involve more initial configuration. However, Scout offers more automation after it is set up.
Which app is better for maximizing profits?
Scout aims to maximize profits through dynamic, demand-driven pricing using the reverse auction model. Quick Quote, while allowing for discounting, relies more on manual negotiation and might not automatically optimize pricing to the same extent.
Which app is better for B2B sales?
Quick Quote is likely better for B2B sales where custom quotes and negotiation are standard practices. Scout's auction format might not be suitable for all B2B contexts.
Which app requires more ongoing management?
Quick Quote requires ongoing management of individual quote requests and communication with customers. Scout, with its automated features, requires less day-to-day management once configured.
Which app has more established user satisfaction?
Quick Quote has a perfect 5/5 rating with 56 reviews, indicating strong user satisfaction. Scout has no reviews, making it difficult to assess user satisfaction.
