Our Verdict
The choice between Proveway PayPal Tracking Sync and Shopify Order Printer depends heavily on the merchant's specific needs. If PayPal is a primary payment method and managing holds/disputes is a major concern, Proveway is the clear choice, despite the likely cost. The automation and ROI it promises could significantly improve cash flow and operational efficiency for those merchants. However, if the primary goal is to create professional, branded order documents and streamline the fulfillment process, Shopify Order Printer is the better option. Its free price point and extensive customization options make it ideal for merchants of all sizes looking to enhance their branding and order processing workflows, despite the lower ratings.
Common Questions
Does Proveway PayPal Tracking Sync print order documents?
No, Proveway focuses solely on synchronizing tracking information with PayPal to improve seller protections and reduce payment holds. It does offer a branded tracking page, but does not handle order document printing.
Is Shopify Order Printer effective for managing PayPal holds?
No, Shopify Order Printer does not directly impact PayPal holds or seller protections. It helps with creating and printing order documents, which is unrelated to PayPal's payment processing policies.
Which app is easier to use for a beginner?
Proveway is likely easier to use initially as it's described as mostly automatic, however, the free app may require minimal setup to utilize their pick list editor. Shopify Order Printer requires design and coding skills to fully utilize its HTML, CSS, and Liquid template customization.
Which app offers a higher return on investment?
Proveway explicitly claims a 'massive ROI' by reducing PayPal holds and speeding up fund access. However, Shopify Order Printer, being free, can also provide a return by reducing fulfillment time and improving customer perception.
Are both apps useful for drop shippers?
Proveway could be valuable to dropshippers who use PayPal and experience frequent holds. Shopify Order Printer can be helpful for including branded packing slips with dropshipped orders, assuming the dropshipper allows for this.
