Progus Store Locator Map vs Theme Auto | Theme Schedulerfor Shopify (2026)
Progus Store Locator Map and Theme Auto | Theme Scheduler cater to distinctly different needs within the Shopify ecosystem. Progus Store Locator Map focuses on enhancing the physical presence of a business by providing a user-friendly map interface, enabling customers to easily find store locations. It boasts features like bulk import, advanced analytics, and multilingual support. In contrast, Theme Auto | Theme Scheduler is geared towards improving the dynamic presentation of an online store by automating theme updates, banner changes, and content modifications based on pre-set schedules. It prioritizes efficiency and consistency in visual branding during sales, holidays, and promotional events. The key difference lies in their target audiences and the problems they solve. Progus is ideal for businesses with physical locations, aiming to drive in-store traffic and reduce customer inquiries about store locations. Theme Auto is better suited for businesses that frequently update their online store's visuals to align with seasonal changes, promotions, or events. While both apps aim to improve the customer experience, they approach it from opposite angles – one physical and the other virtual. Progus claims to offer ease of use via a no-API-key install, whereas Theme Auto simplifies content updates by automating them.

Our Verdict
For merchants with brick-and-mortar locations, Progus Store Locator Map is the clear choice. Its features are specifically designed to improve customer accessibility and provide valuable location-based analytics. The larger number of reviews (58 vs 5) also suggests a more established user base and possibly a more refined product. Theme Auto | Theme Scheduler, on the other hand, is best suited for online stores that heavily rely on visual merchandising and require frequent theme updates for seasonal promotions and sales events. If automating these updates is a priority, this app offers a streamlined solution. If you don't have a physical store, then the store locator is not useful.
Given the disparity in reviews and the specific functionality of each app, merchants should prioritize Progus if physical store visibility is a key concern. Otherwise, Theme Auto will be best if the business would save a significant amount of time managing themes.
