Preorder, Back In Stock ‑ STOQ vs Restock Alert & Waitlist ‑Minifor Shopify (2026)
Preorder, Back In Stock ‑ STOQ and Restock Alert & Waitlist ‑Mini both aim to help Shopify merchants recover lost sales and gauge customer interest in out-of-stock or upcoming products through waitlists and notifications. However, STOQ positions itself as a more comprehensive solution, offering not only back-in-stock alerts but also pre-order, backorder, and presale capabilities with features like partial payments and B2B support. Mini focuses more narrowly on waitlist management and back-in-stock email notifications. STOQ aims for larger merchants needing advanced functionality like multiple locations, Klaviyo integration, and more extensive customization. Mini, on the other hand, seems targeted at smaller businesses looking for a simpler, more focused back-in-stock alert solution. The large difference in review count strongly suggests STOQ has a much larger user base and potentially a more mature platform. While both apps have perfect ratings, the sheer volume of reviews for STOQ lends more weight to its claim of excellent service and features.
