Pin Auto : Pinterest Publisher vs ReelUp‑Shoppable Videos+ Reelsfor Shopify (2026)
Pin Auto : Pinterest Publisher and ReelUp‑Shoppable Videos+ Reels are both Shopify apps in the 'Images and media' category, but they address very different marketing needs. Pin Auto focuses on automating the process of publishing product images as Pins on Pinterest, aiming to drive traffic and improve SEO through consistent activity on a visually-driven social platform. It targets merchants seeking to leverage Pinterest's reach without the manual effort of pinning each product individually. ReelUp, on the other hand, centers around incorporating shoppable videos, similar to those on TikTok and Instagram Reels, directly into the Shopify store. It allows merchants to import videos from these platforms and display them in various engaging formats, such as carousels and stories. ReelUp aims to boost conversions, increase user engagement (time spent on site), and improve SEO. It targets merchants looking to capitalize on the popularity of short-form video content and user-generated content. The primary difference lies in their content focus: Pin Auto handles static images on Pinterest, while ReelUp manages dynamic video content on the Shopify store itself, drawing inspiration from TikTok and Instagram. Each offers a different solution to increase reach and drive conversions.

Our Verdict
If a merchant's target audience heavily uses Pinterest and they want a hands-off approach to managing their Pinterest presence, Pin Auto : Pinterest Publisher might be a suitable choice. The app automates a manual process, allowing them to maintain consistent activity on Pinterest, potentially driving traffic and improving SEO. However, the low number of reviews suggests it's a newer or less widely adopted app.
For merchants looking to leverage the power of short-form video content and user-generated content (UGC), and those keen on mimicking the engaging video experiences of platforms like TikTok and Instagram, ReelUp‑Shoppable Videos+ Reels is the better option. Its high rating and large number of reviews suggest a well-regarded and effective app for boosting conversions and increasing user engagement within their Shopify store. ReelUp caters to a more contemporary, video-centric marketing strategy.
