PestoAI ‑ AI News Feed vs StoreSEO: AI SEO Agentfor Shopify (2026)
PestoAI ‑ AI News Feed and StoreSEO: AI SEO Agent are both Shopify apps positioned to leverage AI, but they target drastically different merchant needs. PestoAI focuses on content creation and management specifically for a store's news feed, aiming to streamline the process of publishing updates and announcements. It aims to provide an easy-to-use interface for generating news articles using AI, saving merchants time and effort. StoreSEO, on the other hand, is a comprehensive SEO suite designed to improve a store's visibility and ranking on search engines like Google. It uses AI to optimize various aspects of SEO, including content, images, and technical SEO elements. The key difference lies in their core functionalities. PestoAI centers around building and managing an engaging news feed on the store, while StoreSEO is focused on improving organic search visibility and driving traffic through SEO optimization. Both apps have received perfect ratings, but StoreSEO has a significantly larger user base, indicated by the much higher number of reviews. This potentially suggests broader appeal or longer market presence and stronger community support, although PestoAI could be newly launched and unproven.

Our Verdict
Choosing between PestoAI and StoreSEO depends entirely on the merchant's primary goals. If the priority is to easily create and manage a news feed to keep customers informed about updates and promotions, PestoAI is the better choice. Its Text2Post feature offers a streamlined approach to content creation, making it ideal for merchants who lack the time or resources to write articles from scratch.
However, if the primary goal is to improve organic search visibility and drive more traffic to the store, StoreSEO is the clear winner. Its comprehensive suite of SEO tools, including AI content optimization, image optimization, and technical SEO features, provides a holistic approach to improving search engine rankings. The significantly higher number of reviews also suggests that it has a proven track record of delivering results for other Shopify merchants. For merchants who are serious about SEO, StoreSEO is the more robust and reliable solution.
