PaySync ‑ PayPal Tracking Sync vs Synctrack PayPal Tracking Syncfor Shopify (2026)
PaySync ‑ PayPal Tracking Sync and Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync both aim to automate tracking number syncing to PayPal to reduce holds, resolve chargebacks, and accelerate fund release. However, they differ significantly in their social proof, target audience, and scope of functionality. PaySync positions itself as a simple, user-friendly solution for quickly syncing tracking information across multiple PayPal accounts, emphasizing ease of use and a fast setup. Synctrack, on the other hand, is a more comprehensive solution, targeting merchants who need to sync tracking not only to PayPal but also to Stripe, and across multiple sales channels, including Facebook and Instagram. The key difference lies in their breadth of integration and the size of their user base. Synctrack, being a technical PayPal partner, offers deeper integration and a more robust feature set, reflected in its significantly higher number of reviews. While PaySync focuses on simplicity and speed, Synctrack offers features like store reviews against PayPal standards, support for digital and store pickup orders, and multi-store management, catering to larger and more complex Shopify businesses. Merchants should consider their specific needs regarding sales channels and payment platforms when choosing between the two.

Our Verdict
For small Shopify merchants with limited needs, primarily focusing on PayPal and prioritizing ease of use and quick setup, PaySync ‑ PayPal Tracking Sync could be a suitable option. Its focus on a single, well-defined task makes it appealing for those seeking a simple solution. However, the very low number of reviews is a significant risk factor.
For larger Shopify stores operating across multiple sales channels and utilizing both PayPal and Stripe, Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync appears to be the better choice. Its wider range of features, including Stripe integration, Facebook/Instagram sales channel support, and store reviews against PayPal standards, provides a more comprehensive solution for managing tracking data and mitigating disputes. The significantly higher number of reviews also suggests a more reliable and well-tested app. The cost effectiveness of managing multiple stores on one Synctrack subscription also makes it the obvious choice for bigger operations with many Shopify stores.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
PaySync advertises an 'Instant Setup,' suggesting it might be easier to set up initially. However, Synctrack's documentation and support resources, given its larger user base, may make the overall setup process equally smooth.
Which app supports syncing tracking information to Stripe?
Only Synctrack PayPal Tracking Sync supports syncing tracking information to Stripe in addition to PayPal.
Which app is better for dropshipping stores?
Without specific dropshipping features mentioned, both apps could work. However, Synctrack's broader sales channel support (Facebook, Instagram) and larger user base might offer more robust support for integrating with various dropshipping platforms and workflows.
Which app is more likely to reduce PayPal holds and reserves?
Both apps claim to reduce PayPal holds and reserves. Synctrack's 'Free store reviews with PayPal standards' feature specifically aims to optimize stores for compliance, which could potentially lead to greater reductions in holds and reserves, though this is not guaranteed.
Which app is more suitable for a merchant with multiple Shopify stores?
Synctrack explicitly states it allows managing PayPal sync from multiple stores under one subscription, making it the better choice for merchants with multiple Shopify stores.
