Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking precise control over *all* payment method visibility, including but not limited to COD, PayRules: Hide Payment Methods is the more established option, evidenced by its significantly higher review count and strong rating. Its broader feature set may require a slightly steeper learning curve. However, if a merchant's primary objective is to increase COD sales and mitigate associated risks like failed deliveries, Progus COD (Cash on Delivery) is the superior choice. Its 1-Click Order Form and smart COD rules directly address these concerns, albeit with a smaller user base to date. Merchants should weigh the value of a focused solution versus a more general, widely-used one, bearing in mind the review volume difference.
