OTP Login with Phone vs WebPanda | Login to See Pricefor Shopify (2026)
OTP Login with Phone and WebPanda | Login to See Price both address Shopify accounts and login, but cater to vastly different needs. OTP Login with Phone enhances the login experience by replacing passwords with one-time passcodes, focusing on security and user convenience. It's designed for any store seeking a faster and more secure login/registration process, improving customer experience and reducing password-related friction. WebPanda | Login to See Price, on the other hand, directly targets B2B stores. It restricts price visibility and 'add to cart' functionality to logged-in customers, effectively creating a members-only shopping experience. This is useful for wholesale pricing strategies or businesses dealing with customized products where pricing isn't publicly displayed.

Our Verdict
The choice between OTP Login with Phone and WebPanda | Login to See Price depends entirely on the business model. If the goal is to improve login security and offer a smoother user experience for all customers with passwordless login using OTP, OTP Login with Phone is the superior choice. Its compatibility with all themes and customizable OTP settings make it universally applicable. Conversely, if the business operates under a B2B model or requires controlled pricing access, WebPanda | Login to See Price is the more suitable option. Its ability to hide prices from non-logged-in users based on customer tags is critical for such business models. A higher review count for WebPanda may indicate a greater need for the B2B login feature.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim ease of setup. However, WebPanda explicitly offers support to help with setup. OTP Login doesn't mention specific support options, but focuses on seamless theme compatibility.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
While technically possible, the combined effect may be confusing. OTP Login would simplify the login process, while WebPanda would restrict access until login. It's unlikely a merchant would benefit from implementing both apps at once. Carefully consider your customer journey before combining.
Which app offers more customization?
OTP Login with Phone appears to offer more customization options, including customizable account fields, OTP settings (expiry time, resend behavior), and label customization. WebPanda's customization seems limited to editing the message displayed to visitors.
Which app is better for reducing cart abandonment?
OTP Login with Phone *might* indirectly reduce cart abandonment by simplifying the account creation/login process, making it easier for customers to complete their purchase. WebPanda could increase cart abandonment if potential customers are deterred by the price restrictions and lack of immediate information. The use case will vary depending on the product and pricing strategies.
Which app has better security?
OTP Login with Phone inherently offers better security by eliminating passwords and using one-time passcodes for authentication. WebPanda's security is limited to restricting access based on login status but doesn't directly enhance the security of the login process itself.
