OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification vs Subunofor Shopify (2026)
Both OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification and Subuno are Shopify apps with perfect 5/5 ratings based on 4 reviews, indicating very positive initial user experiences. However, they address fundamentally different types of fraud and cater to different merchant needs. OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification focuses on mitigating risks associated with Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, specifically fake orders and returns to origin (RTO). It uses OTP verification via WhatsApp, SMS, or Email to confirm orders before fulfillment and provides automated order status updates to customers. This helps reduce losses from undeliverable or unwanted COD orders. Subuno, on the other hand, tackles credit card fraud and chargebacks. It offers a rules-based platform to screen orders for suspicious activity, providing merchants with tools to customize fraud checks, automate order processing (flagging, holding, or cancelling), and leverage advanced data analytics. Subuno aims to prevent fraudulent transactions before they happen, protecting merchants from chargebacks and associated financial losses. While both aim to reduce financial loss, OTP ‑ CoD Order Verification addresses a specific payment method vulnerability, while Subuno provides a broader fraud prevention solution for credit card transactions.
