Our Verdict
Choosing between Order Management — Trackeasy and Ting ‑ Slack Notifications depends on your specific needs. If you require detailed, real-time tracking of order preparation and delivery across multiple locations and devices, Trackeasy is the better choice. This app is suitable for restaurants, warehouses, and businesses with their own delivery teams. However, if your primary goal is to keep your team informed about new orders and sales performance directly within Slack, Ting ‑ Slack Notifications is the more streamlined option. It's perfect for e-commerce businesses that heavily rely on Slack for internal communication and want easy access to order data.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Ting ‑ Slack Notifications offers a 'simple one-click setup', suggesting it's quicker to implement than Order Management — Trackeasy, which involves configuring order stages and devices.
Can I use both apps at the same time?
Yes, theoretically. They address different needs: one optimizes internal processes (Trackeasy) and the other centralizes notifications in Slack (Ting). However, assess if the cost and potential information overlap are justified.
Which app is better for a restaurant?
Order Management — Trackeasy is likely better for a restaurant, as it directly addresses the challenges of tracking order preparation in the kitchen and avoiding delays. Its ability to set alarms for new orders and track status from multiple devices is highly valuable in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Which app provides data reporting?
Both apps offer data reporting but in different forms. Trackeasy provides 'product wise preparation reports', while Ting ‑ Slack Notifications offers 'Daily, weekly, Monthly' order reports directly within Slack.
What happens if my business doesn't use Slack?
If your business doesn't use Slack, Ting ‑ Slack Notifications is irrelevant. Order Management — Trackeasy would be the only viable option from these two.
