Our Verdict
For merchants requiring sophisticated automation and customization of internal and external communication, Notifications by Modd Apps is the clear choice. The ability to trigger actions based on complex logic and update store data offers substantial operational benefits. However, for merchants primarily focused on quickly boosting sales and engaging with potential customers through instant, direct messaging, Srashta Push Notification may be a suitable option. While Srashta has no reviews at this time, web push notifications can be a valuable marketing channel. The lack of reviews makes it hard to assess its reliability and effectiveness compared to Notifications by Modd Apps.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Srashta Push Notification might appear simpler initially as it focuses on a single channel (web push). However, Notifications by Modd Apps offers support during the trial period, which could help overcome its complexity.
Which app is better for customer retention?
Notifications by Modd Apps can indirectly improve retention by allowing for personalized communication and rewards for loyal customers (e.g., tagging VIPs). Srashta Push Notification focuses on immediate sales and may contribute less directly to long-term retention.
Can both apps be used simultaneously?
Yes, technically. They address different communication channels. However, merchants should consider the potential for overwhelming customers with too many notifications.
Which app provides more data control?
Notifications by Modd Apps allows for direct manipulation of Shopify store data (tags, metafields, etc.), offering significantly more control than Srashta Push Notification, which primarily sends notifications.
Which app is more suitable for large enterprises?
Notifications by Modd Apps, with its advanced automation capabilities and ability to integrate with internal systems via FTP, is likely better suited for larger enterprises with complex operational needs.
