Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on Google Ads and seeking a simple, automated retargeting solution, Nabu: Google Ads Retargeting is the clear choice. Its ease of use and automatic updates are invaluable for those without technical expertise. However, if a merchant runs ads across multiple platforms, faces challenges with attribution (especially due to iOS 14 restrictions), and needs comprehensive conversion tracking, Upstack: Site Intelligence is the superior option. While both are 'no-code' solutions, Upstack targets more advanced users with complex needs, and Nabu excels in simplicity for a specific ad platform.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps boast 'no-code' setup. Nabu offers a 1-click integration, making it exceptionally easy to set up for Google Ads. Upstack also has a fast setup, but the multi-platform nature may involve more configuration steps.
Which app is better for iOS 14 impact?
Upstack: Site Intelligence directly addresses the impact of iOS 14 restrictions with its server-side event tracking (Conversion API), aiming to bypass those limitations. Nabu focuses solely on Google Ads retargeting.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Potentially, yes. Nabu focuses on Google Ads retargeting pixel implementation, while Upstack focuses on broader site intelligence and pixel management across multiple platforms. They are not mutually exclusive, but it's crucial to avoid data conflicts or redundant tracking by carefully configuring each app.
Which app is better for a beginner?
Nabu: Google Ads Retargeting is significantly easier for beginners because it automates the Google Ads retargeting process. Upstack, while no-code, requires a greater understanding of attribution and ad platform integrations.
Does either app improve Klaviyo email marketing?
Upstack: Site Intelligence offers Klaviyo server-side pixel integration. This can enhance abandonment flow segments and ROI within Klaviyo. Nabu does not directly integrate with Klaviyo.
