Our Verdict
Choosing between MyGLS Professional and Texnity ‑ WhatsApp Business depends entirely on your business needs. If you primarily ship with GLS, particularly in Eastern Europe, and need tools for efficient label printing and parcel shop integration, MyGLS Professional is the clear choice. If your goal is to improve customer communication, reduce cart abandonment rates, and leverage WhatsApp for customer engagement, then Texnity ‑ WhatsApp Business is the better option.
Because the apps perform fundamentally different roles within a Shopify store, it's entirely possible for a merchant to benefit from using both. For example, a merchant using GLS for shipping in Eastern Europe *could* use MyGLS Professional for its core functionality and then *also* use Texnity ‑ WhatsApp Business to notify customers of their order status, potentially combining the efficiency of MyGLS Professional with the customer communication power of Texnity ‑ WhatsApp Business.
Common Questions
Do both apps handle shipping labels?
No, only MyGLS Professional directly creates and prints shipping labels for GLS. Texnity ‑ WhatsApp Business focuses on communicating shipping updates to customers via WhatsApp.
Can I use Texnity ‑ WhatsApp Business to print shipping labels?
No, Texnity ‑ WhatsApp Business does not offer shipping label creation or printing functionality. It's solely focused on customer communication.
If I don't ship with GLS, is MyGLS Professional useful?
Probably not. MyGLS Professional is specifically designed for merchants who use GLS (General Logistics Systems) for their shipping needs. Without GLS integration, the app's core features become irrelevant.
Does Texnity ‑ WhatsApp Business integrate with GLS directly?
The description of Texnity ‑ WhatsApp Business does not mention direct integration with GLS or any shipping carrier. It focuses on sending order notifications, presumably based on updates within the Shopify order system.
Are both apps easy to use?
Both apps claim to reduce manual effort and streamline processes. However, ease of use is subjective and depends on the user's technical expertise and specific needs. The considerably higher number of reviews for MyGLS Professional (123 vs 2) *might* suggest it is more widely used and potentially more refined.
