MyGLS Professional vs Printrooster Order Printingfor Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and Printrooster Order Printing, while both categorized under 'Orders' in the Shopify App Store, serve distinctly different purposes. Our Verdict
MyGLS Professional is the clear choice for merchants primarily shipping with GLS, especially within Eastern Europe, who need to automate their shipping label creation and benefit from parcel shop integration. Its focus is narrow but deep, providing a specialized solution for GLS users. Printrooster Order Printing, however, is better suited for a broader range of merchants who need enhanced control over their order documentation and fulfillment processes, regardless of their shipping carrier. It excels in providing customizable templates and robust filtering options. A merchant heavily reliant on a different carrier wouldn't find value in MyGLS Professional, while any merchant needing better order documentation will benefit from Printrooster. Consider Printrooster if you need detailed control over invoice creation; MyGLS if shipping GLS Eastern Europe.
Common Questions
Does MyGLS Professional work with shipping carriers other than GLS?
Based on the description, MyGLS Professional is specifically designed for GLS (General Logistics Systems) and does not appear to support other carriers.
Can I customize the look and feel of my invoices with MyGLS Professional?
MyGLS Professional mentions a Packing list, but focuses on shipping labels; the app does not highlight invoice customization as a key feature. Printrooster is likely better for that purpose.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Printrooster Order Printing may be easier to set up initially, as it centers around template customization, which can be straightforward. MyGLS Professional involves integrating with GLS systems, which may require more technical expertise.
Does Printrooster support printing labels?
Printrooster's main focus is on order documents like invoices and packing slips, and while it might be possible to adapt its templates for labels, it is not explicitly designed for shipping label creation like MyGLS Professional.
Which app is better for high-volume order processing?
Both apps can likely handle high volumes, but their strengths lie in different areas. MyGLS Professional offers unlimited GLS label printing, which is valuable for high-volume GLS shippers. Printrooster's filtering and batch printing features are beneficial for managing and processing a large number of orders for printing documents, independent of the carrier.
