My AskAI: AI Support Chatbot vs Whatsapp Marketing & Supportfor Shopify (2026)
My AskAI: AI Support Chatbot and Whatsapp Marketing & Support both aim to enhance customer support and drive sales using AI, but they target different aspects of the customer journey and utilize distinct approaches. My AskAI focuses specifically on providing AI-powered customer service within existing helpdesk systems, offering 24/7 support in multiple languages. It positions itself as an affordable solution for handling common support queries, freeing up human agents for more complex issues. The key selling point is its ease of integration with popular helpdesk platforms and its low cost per ticket. Whatsapp Marketing & Support (BusinessOnBot) takes a broader approach, aiming to improve sales and engagement across multiple channels including WhatsApp, Instagram, and email. While also providing AI-powered support, its focus extends to proactive marketing activities like cart recovery, order updates, and automated campaigns. The app aims to reduce Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and increase conversions through personalized interactions and automation. It aims to become a centralized hub for merchant-customer communication. Their use of AI is less about direct replacements of humans but more about automating tasks that would often take up valuable time.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily concerned with streamlining their existing helpdesk support and reducing costs associated with answering common customer queries, My AskAI: AI Support Chatbot presents a potentially attractive option, assuming the lack of reviews is not indicative of a major underlying issue. Its focus on integrating with popular helpdesk platforms and its pay-per-ticket pricing model could be very appealing. However, the lack of reviews is concerning.
Conversely, Whatsapp Marketing & Support (BusinessOnBot) is better suited for D2C brands aiming to proactively engage with customers across multiple channels, drive sales through targeted campaigns, and reduce CAC. Its comprehensive approach to marketing automation and support, particularly through WhatsApp, makes it a strong choice for businesses that prioritize customer engagement and personalized interactions. The high rating and substantial number of reviews suggest a proven track record and satisfied user base.
