Our Verdict
The choice between MP ‑ Store Migration & Import and ThemeSafe ‑ Auto Backup hinges entirely on the merchant's needs. If a merchant is setting up a new store or transferring from another platform, MP ‑ Store Migration & Import is the more relevant app. Its high rating and positive reviews suggest it performs this task effectively. However, if the merchant is already established and heavily invested in a custom theme, frequently updates it, or is concerned about accidental data loss due to theme modifications, ThemeSafe ‑ Auto Backup is the superior choice, despite lacking reviews.
While MP ‑ Store Migration & Import boasts social proof through its ratings and reviews, the peace of mind offered by ThemeSafe's automated theme backup and restoration capabilities can be invaluable, especially for merchants lacking technical expertise or those managing complex theme customizations. The lack of reviews for ThemeSafe is a concern, but the description clearly outlines its functionality and addresses a significant pain point, making it a worthwhile consideration for security-conscious merchants.
