Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC vs VideoPoint Shoppable AI Videosfor Shopify (2026)
Both Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC and VideoPoint Shoppable AI Videos aim to help Shopify merchants leverage video to increase conversions. However, they approach this goal from different angles. Moast, based on its name and the significantly higher number of reviews, likely focuses on a broader strategy including user-generated content (UGC) and potentially easier integration with existing videos. VideoPoint, on the other hand, positions itself as an AI-powered video creation platform, emphasizing rapid, on-brand video production at scale using AI models, templates, and avatars. Its key strength is its ability to automatically generate videos for entire product catalogs in minutes, minimizing manual effort and creative costs. The target audience also differs. Moast, with its UGC component, may appeal to merchants seeking to build community and leverage social proof. VideoPoint seems geared towards larger stores with extensive product catalogs that require efficient, scalable video creation. VideoPoint's 'AI Creator' feature and bulk generation capabilities suggest a focus on minimizing time and resources spent on video creation, while Moast's approach implies more emphasis on diverse video sources including customer content.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants looking to incorporate user-generated content and easily integrate existing videos into their shoppable experience, Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC is likely the better choice. The higher number of reviews also suggests a longer track record and wider user base. However, for merchants managing large product catalogs who need to quickly and cost-effectively create on-brand videos for every SKU, VideoPoint Shoppable AI Videos is the stronger option. Its AI-powered bulk generation and avatar fitting features offer a significant advantage in terms of scalability and efficiency, particularly given its focus on ease-of-use through AI templates and guided output.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on the merchant's specific needs and resources. If a robust UGC strategy is critical, Moast is the preferred app. If AI-powered automation is paramount to reduce costs and rapidly produce a high volume of videos, VideoPoint is the clear winner.
Common Questions
Which app is better for stores without existing video content?
VideoPoint is better for stores lacking existing video content as it leverages AI to generate videos from product data. Moast likely assumes some pre-existing video assets or a willingness to source them from users.
Which app is more suitable for small businesses with limited budgets?
While both aim to help, VideoPoint's AI automation may offer a lower cost per video at scale, making it potentially more suitable for small businesses needing many videos on a limited budget. However, Moast's UGC component could also offer cost-effective content creation.
Does either app offer analytics to track video performance?
VideoPoint explicitly states it includes 'built-in analytics' to track video impact. Moast does not mention analytics in the provided information, though it's likely it provides some tracking capabilities given its focus on shoppable videos.
Which app offers more control over the visual style of the videos?
VideoPoint offers more control over visual style through its 'brand book', 'templates', and 'custom avatars'. This enables consistent on-brand video creation. Moast's style control is likely more dependent on the source of the video content (UGC or pre-existing videos).
Is either app limited to specific product types or industries?
Based on the provided descriptions, neither app is explicitly limited to specific product types or industries. However, VideoPoint's garment fitting feature might make it particularly useful for apparel retailers.
