Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a comprehensive subscription management solution, particularly those operating in the Japanese market or needing support in Japanese, Mikawaya Subscription is the clear choice due to its high rating, positive reviews, and focus on subscription-specific features and support. Its detailed features, expert support in subscription management, and integration capabilities make it suitable for those serious about scaling a subscription business. However, for merchants prioritizing increasing AOV and conversion rates through personalized product recommendations and looking for a simple to implement solution, Smart Suggest Pro may be worth considering, especially after it accumulates user reviews and demonstrates its effectiveness. Currently, the lack of user reviews makes it a riskier choice than Mikawaya.
Common Questions
Which app is better for starting a subscription service?
Mikawaya Subscription is much better suited for launching and managing a subscription service due to its specialized features and expert support.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Both apps claim easy setup and customization. However, without reviews for Smart Suggest Pro, it's difficult to compare definitively. Mikawaya has a specific claim of 5 step setup.
Which app provides better customer support?
Mikawaya Subscription emphasizes expert support from EC professionals specializing in subscriptions, a distinct advantage over Smart Suggest Pro, which doesn't explicitly detail its support system.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, yes. Smart Suggest Pro focuses on recommendations, while Mikawaya focuses on subscriptions. If a merchant offers subscriptions and also wants to upsell with related products, the apps could complement each other. However, ensure they do not conflict in function and impact user experience negatively.
Which app is better for non-Japanese speaking merchants?
Smart Suggest Pro is the better choice for non-Japanese speaking merchants, as Mikawaya Subscription's headline and description are primarily in Japanese, suggesting its support and feature set are tailored for the Japanese market. If a merchant wants the benefit of the specific LTV and CRM integrations then it would be sensible to work with Mikawaya and use translation tools for support.
