Magical XML/HTML Sitemap vs NAU Scroll to Topfor Shopify (2026)
Magical XML/HTML Sitemap and NAU Scroll to Top both fall under the 'Search and navigation' category on Shopify, but they address vastly different aspects of website usability. Magical XML/HTML Sitemap focuses on improving site structure for both users and search engines, leveraging XML sitemaps for SEO and customizable HTML sitemaps for user navigation. It emphasizes discoverability and ranking higher in search results. On the other hand, NAU Scroll to Top is solely dedicated to enhancing user experience on long pages by providing a quick way to return to the top, requiring no coding knowledge for setup and customization. The core difference lies in their purpose. NAU Scroll to Top is a more focused tool, aimed at improving the experience for users navigating lengthy pages, especially on mobile devices, offering a simpler and more immediate solution for a specific usability concern. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with improving their website's SEO performance and overall site navigation, Magical XML/HTML Sitemap is the clear choice. Its focus on XML sitemaps for search engines and customizable HTML sitemaps for users provides a comprehensive solution for boosting visibility and usability. However, if the main goal is to improve the user experience on long product pages or blog posts, particularly on mobile devices, NAU Scroll to Top offers a simple and effective solution.
Given the current rating and reviews, Magical XML/HTML Sitemap appears to be a more reliable and proven app. While NAU Scroll to Top might still be a viable option for specific needs, the lack of reviews and ratings makes it a riskier choice. Merchants should carefully weigh their priorities and consider testing both apps (if possible) before making a final decision.
