Love Loyalty Program & Rewards vs Marsello: Loyalty, Email, SMSfor Shopify (2026)
Love Loyalty Program & Rewards and Marsello: Loyalty, Email, SMS are both Shopify apps designed to boost customer loyalty, but they approach this goal with different feature sets and target audiences. Love Loyalty Program & Rewards positions itself as a dedicated loyalty program app with a strong focus on points, rewards, VIP tiers, referrals, and memberships, boasting a 5/5 rating from 214 reviews. Its strength lies in its comprehensive set of loyalty-specific features and fast performance, as well as its modern Shopify tech stack. It also highlights its ease of migration from competitors like LoyaltyLion and Yotpo, and includes POS and B2B support. This suggests a focus on merchants looking for a robust, technically advanced loyalty program solution with excellent customer support. Marsello, on the other hand, offers a broader suite of customer retention tools, encompassing loyalty programs, email marketing, SMS campaigns, and analytics. While its rating is lower at 3.9/5 based on 167 reviews, it provides a more integrated marketing approach, allowing merchants to leverage loyalty data for email and SMS marketing. Marsello targets merchants who want a combined loyalty and marketing solution, allowing them to expand their customer engagement strategy beyond a pure loyalty program. Its strength is in integrating loyalty data with marketing automation, suitable for businesses that want a unified system for customer retention.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on building a deep and feature-rich loyalty program with advanced features like B2B support and memberships, and who are confident in managing their marketing channels separately, Love Loyalty Program & Rewards is the better choice. Its high rating and focus on loyalty program specifics make it suitable for those seeking a dedicated solution.
However, if a merchant wants a more integrated approach, combining loyalty programs with email marketing, SMS campaigns, and unified reporting, then Marsello is the preferable option. While its rating is slightly lower, its suite of features aims to provide a broader, all-in-one customer retention solution.
