Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Both apps likely offer simple setup processes, but Omnibus Insight: Price History advertises a 'set it and forget it' functionality with automated price tracking, possibly making it require less ongoing maintenance than Lifter Age Check which may need updates to its display based on the store's theme.
Which app is more important for legal compliance?
Both are important for their respective legal requirements. Lifter Age Check helps prevent underage sales, while Omnibus Insight: Price History helps meet EU pricing transparency laws. The 'more important' one depends on the products you sell and where your customers are located.
Does Lifter Age Check work outside of the US and EU?
The description doesn't specify geographical limitations, implying it can be used anywhere age-restricted products are sold, but you should check with the developer to ensure it is effective in specific countries.
Can Omnibus Insight: Price History handle different tax rates across regions?
While Omnibus Insight supports region-specific pricing with Shopify Markets, it doesn't explicitly mention tax rate handling, which would affect the 'lowest price'. This requires further investigation with the developer.
If I sell age-restricted products to customers in the EU, do I need both apps?
Potentially, yes. Lifter Age Check would verify age before access, and Omnibus Insight would ensure price transparency. This layered approach covers both age restriction and pricing regulations.
