Kopia ‑ Import & Copy Products vs Reputon eBay Importerfor Shopify (2026)
Kopia ‑ Import & Copy Products and Reputon eBay Importer both aim to streamline product population on Shopify stores, but cater to distinctly different needs. Kopia focuses on internal product duplication and translation, enabling merchants to quickly expand their catalogs by copying existing products and translating them into new languages using AI. This positions Kopia as a tool for merchants with established product lines looking to scale, expand language offerings, or create variations. A major concern is the lack of reviews or ratings, which makes it difficult to determine its reliability or ease of use. It explicitly prohibits copying without rights holder permission, suggesting a focus on internal duplication rather than scraping from other stores. Reputon eBay Importer, in contrast, is purpose-built for importing products directly from eBay. It offers features like price and stock auto-sync and bulk import, catering to dropshippers or affiliate marketers who source products from eBay. The 5/5 rating and 37 reviews suggest it is a reliable option for its target audience.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to rapidly duplicate and translate existing product listings within their Shopify store and expand into new languages, Kopia ‑ Import & Copy Products *could* be useful if it proves reliable and easy to use. However, due to the lack of reviews and inherent risk of using an untested application, proceed with caution and thorough testing. For merchants specifically sourcing products from eBay, Reputon eBay Importer is the clear winner. Its positive reviews, auto-sync functionality, and specific features tailored to eBay integration make it a more established and reliable choice for that particular use case. The availability of price and stock availability auto-sync gives the Reputon eBay Importer a clear advantage in maintaining an up-to-date catalog.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
It's difficult to say for sure. Reputon eBay Importer likely has a smoother setup for eBay integration due to its established functionality and positive reviews. Kopia's setup is unknown as it has no ratings or reviews.
Can Kopia be used to import products from eBay?
No. Kopia is designed for copying and cloning *existing* products within your Shopify store, not importing from external marketplaces like eBay. It has no eBay-specific integration.
Which app offers better ongoing management of product data?
Reputon eBay Importer offers ongoing management of product data through its price and stock auto-sync feature, ensuring the Shopify store reflects changes on eBay. Kopia's management capabilities are focused on the internal product catalog through editing and optimization using AI.
Is either app suitable for importing products from AliExpress?
Neither app explicitly mentions AliExpress support. Reputon eBay Importer is designed for eBay, and Kopia is for copying existing products. A dedicated AliExpress importer would be a better choice for that platform.
Which app is more reliable?
Reputon eBay Importer is currently more reliable due to its positive ratings and reviews. Kopia has no reviews, making its reliability difficult to assess. New apps like Kopia carry inherent risk of undiscovered issues and bugs.
