Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with streamlining their checkout process by intelligently managing shipping and payment options and preventing fraudulent orders, Kedra Checkout Rules is likely the more suitable choice. Its straightforward approach to conditional rules makes it efficient for tackling operational challenges. However, merchants seeking to create a highly customized and branded checkout experience designed to drive upselling and AOV, especially those operating on Shopify Plus or targeting B2B markets, will find Qikify Checkout Customizer to be the better fit. Its extensive customization options and direct upselling features offer greater flexibility in optimizing the checkout flow for sales.
Common Questions
Which app is better for preventing fraudulent orders?
Both apps offer checkout validation rules for fraud prevention. However, Kedra Checkout Rules highlights fraud prevention more prominently in its description, suggesting a slightly stronger focus in that area. Qikify also prevents fraud, but their focus is also on customization and upselling.
Can I use these apps to add a 'gift message' field to my checkout?
Qikify Checkout Customizer is the better option for adding custom fields like a gift message field. It specifically highlights the ability to create extra conditioned checkout fields, while Kedra doesn't mention adding new fields.
Which app is easier to use?
Determining ease of use is difficult without user reviews explicitly mentioning it. Both apps have similar review counts, so it is difficult to tell which app would be easier to use.
Do both apps support Shopify B2B?
Qikify Checkout Customizer explicitly states compatibility with Shopify B2B due to being built with Checkout Extensibility. Kedra Checkout Rules does not mention any B2B compatibility.
Can I customize the look and feel of the checkout page with both apps?
Qikify Checkout Customizer offers more extensive customization options, including custom checkout blocks and custom app support (Shopify Plus). Kedra focuses on the logic and rules behind the shipping and payment options rather than overall visual customization.
