Our Verdict
For merchants operating solely in physical stores and heavily reliant on Shopify POS, PML Stock Take Inventory Count appears to be the stronger choice. Its deep POS integration, focus on stocktaking, and emphasis on ease of use make it ideal for streamlining inventory counts and reducing discrepancies in brick-and-mortar environments. The higher rating, while based on fewer reviews, indicates strong satisfaction among its target user base.
Katana Cloud Inventory might be a better fit for merchants with more complex inventory needs, such as those involved in manufacturing, managing inventory across multiple channels beyond just physical stores, or requiring a more comprehensive inventory management system with potentially more advanced reporting and control features. However, without more detailed information on Katana's feature set, it's difficult to make a definitive recommendation without understanding the exact requirements of the merchant.
