Kanal: WhatsApp Marketing+Chat vs Kustomerfor Shopify (2026)
Kanal: WhatsApp Marketing+Chat and Kustomer both hold a perfect 5/5 rating on the Shopify App Store in 2026, however, their functionalities and target audiences differ significantly. Kanal focuses primarily on WhatsApp marketing and potentially chat functionalities, although specifics beyond that are not immediately clear from the provided data. Kustomer, on the other hand, positions itself as an AI-powered CRM solution designed to revolutionize customer support by providing a holistic view of customer data and streamlining support across multiple channels. Kustomer's description highlights its strengths in unifying customer information, enabling personalized experiences, and automating support processes with chatbot templates. Key features listed demonstrate a deeper integration with Shopify, allowing for direct order refunds/cancellations, efficient order data access, and dynamic message customization. In contrast, the limited information about Kanal makes it difficult to assess the depth of its Shopify integration and overall customer support capabilities. While both apps fall under the 'Chat' category, Kustomer appears to offer a more comprehensive CRM approach compared to Kanal's more focused WhatsApp marketing and chat capabilities.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on leveraging WhatsApp for marketing and potentially some basic chat functionality, Kanal: WhatsApp Marketing+Chat might be a suitable option, assuming it offers sufficient capabilities in those areas. However, based on the information available, Kustomer appears to be the superior choice for merchants seeking a comprehensive CRM solution with advanced features such as AI-powered automation, a unified customer view, and direct Shopify order management integration. Kustomer's broader functionality makes it ideal for larger eCommerce businesses or those experiencing rapid growth and requiring a robust customer support system to scale effectively.
In essence, Kanal seems tailored for niche WhatsApp marketing efforts, while Kustomer provides a broader, more powerful CRM platform for customer-centric support. Therefore, if customer service is a primary concern and requires deep Shopify integration, Kustomer is the clear recommendation. If a basic and focused WhatsApp marketing app is desired, Kanal might suffice, pending further details about its capabilities.
