Infi ‑ Infinite Scroll Load vs Magical XML/HTML Sitemapfor Shopify (2026)
Infi - Infinite Scroll Load and Magical XML/HTML Sitemap are both Shopify apps categorized under "Search and navigation," but they address fundamentally different aspects of the customer journey and store management. Infi targets improved on-site product discovery by enabling infinite scrolling or 'Load More' functionality on collection pages. Its focus is on user experience, aiming to increase product visibility and sales by reducing friction in browsing. In contrast, Magical XML/HTML Sitemap is geared towards improving website navigation (both user-facing with HTML sitemaps and for search engine crawlers with XML sitemaps) and boosting SEO performance. The core distinction lies in their objectives. Infi aims to directly influence conversion rates by enhancing the browsing experience on collection pages, while Magical XML/HTML Sitemap concentrates on discoverability and search engine ranking through sitemap management. Infi caters to merchants concerned with immediate user engagement on product pages. Magical XML/HTML Sitemap suits merchants prioritizing SEO and site architecture for long-term organic growth. Both applications offer customization options, but Infi focuses on scrolling behavior, whereas Magical XML/HTML Sitemap emphasizes layout and styling of the sitemap itself, along with controlling the content dynamically displayed.

Our Verdict
If your primary concern is to improve the immediate browsing experience on your collection pages and directly influence conversion rates by making more products visible, Infi - Infinite Scroll Load is the better choice. It addresses user engagement directly. However, if your priority is long-term organic growth through improved SEO and clear site navigation for both users and search engines, Magical XML/HTML Sitemap is the superior option. It lays the groundwork for better search visibility and allows for structured discovery of all pages on your store.
For stores already experiencing strong SEO performance but looking to optimize the on-site customer journey, Infi would be the more impactful addition. Conversely, for newer stores, or those struggling with search engine rankings, Magical XML/HTML Sitemap provides a foundational tool for improvement.
