Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants based in India, ILS: Indian Logistics Services is the clear choice. It provides seamless integration with the most popular Indian logistics providers and offers features specifically designed for the Indian market, such as GST-compliant invoices and return request management. The higher rating and larger number of reviews also suggest a stronger user satisfaction within its target market.
However, for US-based Shopify merchants primarily shipping with UPS and USPS, Pirate Ship: CheapARR Shipping is the more suitable option. Its focus on pre-negotiated discounts can lead to significant cost savings, and its simple interface makes it easy to get started quickly. The app's lower rating compared to ILS should be considered, but if cost savings on UPS and USPS shipping is the primary concern, Pirate Ship is a viable option.
Common Questions
Which app is better for international shipping?
It depends on the destination. ILS is suited to shipping within India, while Pirate Ship focuses on domestic (US) shipping. For international shipping outside of India and the US, neither app is explicitly stated to be strong.
Does ILS or Pirate Ship offer better customer support?
Based on the information provided, it's impossible to determine which app offers better customer support. Which app is easier to set up and use?
Pirate Ship emphasizes ease of use, stating that merchants can "start shipping in seconds!". ILS doesn't explicitly focus on ease of setup in its description, so, Pirate Ship is likely faster to set up initially.
Can I print shipping labels with both apps?
