Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants prioritizing direct customer engagement, abandoned cart recovery, and A/B testing of push notifications with minimal technical overhead, HoodEngage ‑ Web Push presents a potentially suitable option, *if* they can validate its claims and functionality given its current lack of reviews. However, the absence of any user feedback raises significant concerns. In contrast, Notifications by Modd Apps is a stronger choice for merchants who require robust automation capabilities to streamline communication with various stakeholders (staff, suppliers, customers), automate store updates based on complex conditions, and leverage extensive customization through Liquid. The positive reviews and established user base make it a more reliable solution for complex automation needs, despite its steeper learning curve.
