Our Verdict
HiTide is ideal for merchants already using a robust SMS marketing platform such as Klaviyo or Attentive and seeking to aggressively grow their subscriber list through Instagram automation. Its strength lies in acquiring new subscribers and reactivating past ones. TapOnIt is better suited for merchants who require a complete, standalone SMS marketing solution with automated messaging, MMS support, and built-in pop-ups for subscriber acquisition. It's a strong choice for businesses looking to directly drive sales and engagement through personalized, visual text campaigns. While both have 5-star ratings, the larger number of reviews for HiTide suggests a more established user base, though that doesn't necessarily indicate it's 'better' overall; rather, it depends on the specific needs of the merchant.
