Our Verdict
Based on the available data, HiTide: Grow your SMS List appears to be a more established and feature-rich solution for Shopify merchants in 2026, especially those actively leveraging Instagram for marketing and already integrated with a popular SMS platform. The clear value proposition of automated Instagram DM lead generation for SMS, coupled with existing SMS platform integration makes HiTide a strong contender. Mercuri WhatsApp SMS Marketing, while also rated highly, lacks sufficient information to determine its specific strengths and target audience. If your SMS marketing strategy is primarily focused on WhatsApp, further research into Mercuri would be needed; otherwise, HiTide seems the safer and more defined choice.
